ADMISSION TO BEREAN ACADEMY is a privilege available to Christian families. Acceptance to Berean is determined by profession of Christian faith, subscription to our statement of faith, academic ability and placement, and compliance with the policies of the school. Thank you for your interest in Berean Academy. The application process is outlined below.

Step 1: Application Forms

The admission process begins when a family submits an application. The most recent report card and standardized test scores must be submitted along with the application and application fee. Student Application

Step 2: Admission Testing

Upon receipt of the application, Berean will contact the family and schedule admission testing. In the Upper School, grades 7-12, we also require a writing sample.

Step 3: The Interview

After testing is completed, the Headmaster or his designee will meet with the parents to discuss the particulars of the completed application and give an opportunity to ask questions. In this interview, academic placement and spiritual compatibility will be discussed. Participation by both parents is recommended.

Step 4: Notification of Acceptance

Notification of acceptance will be sent by mail. The enrollment fee of $300 is due within 10 days.  The activity fee of $150 is due by March 1.

High School Applicants

High school students are required to attend the interview with the Headmaster. Also, the Headmaster may request references from previous teachers, headmaster or principal, and/or pastor to determine if the student is a good fit for Berean Academy. A student’s existing high school credits, as reported on the student’s official transcript, will be considered to determine whether a student can meet Berean Academy’s graduation requirements.

Financial Aid

Berean Academy uses an outside agency to review families’ financial needs. Based on need, Family Financial Needs Assessment (FFNA) will make a recommendation to the school regarding tuition reduction. Berean Academy will review their recommendation and consider granting funds, usually up to half tuition.

Berean Academy Is Home School Friendly

It is our goal to offer an outstanding classical education within a consistent Christian world-and-life view. When space is available, we offer this education to 7th through 12th grade home school students. They may enroll in one or more courses. Home schooled students also may participate in extracurricular athletics at Berean Academy. Tuition costs are determined by the number of courses taken.

I love working at Berean because it is more than a teaching job; it is an opportunity
to be in ministry. The faculty and staff of Berean truly love the Lord and seek to serve
the children and families of the school because of their love of Christ.
I consider it a privilege and an honor to serve with my fellow brothers
and sisters in Christ at Berean Academy.

- Rachel Wilson, First Grade Teacher
