DISTINCTIVELY CHRISTIAN
Berean Academy provides an education that fully integrates the Word of God into its substantive curriculum. Our faculty teaches that all life, knowledge and meaning come from the Creator. Our Christianity is more than simply a religion class among many other classes. It is a commitment to present Christ as the One in whom all knowledge is united. Central to this endeavor is the view that all subjects must be taught in the light of God’s existence and His revelation to humanity through His son, Jesus Christ.

Moreover, we recognize that Berean Academy operates as an extension of the family, the primary unit in God’s plan for educating children. Accordingly, we see our teachers as functioning not above parental authority, but rather with delegated authority from the parents. As a result, we welcome parental involvement. We strive to provide many opportunities for parents to support and participate in their children’s education.
No one truth is rightly held till it is clearly conceived and stated, and no single truth is adequately comprehended till it is viewed in harmonious relations to all the other truths of the system of which Christ is the centre.
- A. A. Hodge

DISTINCTIVELY CLASSICAL
An education at Berean Academy is classical in method and content. By classical we mean that, at all levels, our curriculum seeks to develop in the student (1) a body of knowledge essential to educated men and women of the Post-Reformation western world, (2) sound reasoning skills, and (3) the capacity for beauty and clarity of expression. We base our educational approach on the classical teaching method known as the Trivium. The Trivium divides the educational life of the child into three stages, emphasizing the student’s natural capacity for certain types of learning at each stage. Classical education is focused on the student's mastering the art of learning.
To learn six subjects without remembering how they were learnt does nothing to ease the approach to a seventh; to have learned and remembered the art of learning makes the approach to every subject an open door.
- Dorothy Sayers
